IG Live: Take a Pause at Summer Solstice

Hey everyone!

It will be Summer Solstice next Monday and Abel and I would be offering a ‘live’ meditative practice to celebrate the longest day of the year!

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞:
At the Summer Solstice, the Sun travels the longest path through the sky, and that day therefore has the most daylight. This is not something immediately perceptible to us on the equator, but it is the longest day of the year. It also marks the beginning of Summer (for those in the North), and the Sun’s ingress into Cancer. That’s right, we are moving into Cancer Season!

Spiritually, we celebrate Summer Solstice because the Sun is perceived to be at the height of its power (it’s that one day in which it affects Earth the longest). In meditating with the Sun on that day, we tune into the Sun’s power and observe who we can be when we are at the height of our own personal power as well.

Abel will also finish creating a set of Summer Solstice charms which I will introduce within the next few days, so stay tuned!
